DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Andre D. Mitchell, 25, of Elmont, N.Y., died July 31 in Mosul, Iraq, of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.
The incident is under investigation.
