The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pvt. Charles Yi Barnett, 19, of Bel Air, Md., died on Nov. 20 of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident in Tallil, Iraq.
He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
The incident is under investigation.
