GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that
he has approved the appointment of Lt. Gen. Patrick P. Caruana,
U.S. Air Force, on the retired list in the grade of lieutenant
general effective Sept. 1, 1997. Caruana is currently serving as
the vice commander, Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force
Base, Colo.
Caruana was born Nov. 11, 1939, in Saint Louis, Miss.
