General Officer Assignments

The Army chief of staff announces the assignment of the following officers:


Maj. Gen. Charles G. Rodriguez, Army National Guard, adjutant general, Austin, Texas, to director, J-7/commander, Standing Joint Forces Headquarters, U.S. Southern Command, Miami, Fla.


Brig. Gen. Peter M. Aylward, Army National Guard, deputy director for Anti-Terrorism/Homeland Defense, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C., to director, Joint Staff, National Guard Bureau, Washington, D.C.


Brig. Gen. James C. Boozer Sr., to director of operations, Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff, Installation Management, U.S. Army, Arlington, Va.  Boozer was previously announced to be the deputy commanding general, Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Command, Alexandria, Va.


Brig. Gen. Robert G. Catalanotti, U.S. Army Reserve, commanding general, 98th, Training Division (initial entry training), Rochester, N.Y., to program manager-facilities security forces, U.S. Central Command, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.


Brig. Gen. Charles D. Luckey, U.S. Army Reserve, chief, Office of Security Cooperation, Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq, Operationj Iraqi Freedom, Iraq, to the assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for reserve matters, Office of the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Washington, D.C.


Brig. Gen. Lloyd Miles, deputy commanding general/assistant commandant, U.S. Army Infantry Center and School, Fort Benning, Ga., to commanding general, Coalition Military Assistance Training Team, Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq.


Brig. Gen. Jimmy J. Wells, U.S. Army Reserve, commander, 1st Brigade (troop program unit), 75th Division (training support), Houston, Texas, to commander,7th Army U.S. Army Reserve Command and deputy commander, 21st Theater Sustainment Command.
