GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that
the President has nominated Maj. Gen. David K. Heebner, U.S.
Army, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and
assignment as assistant vice chief of staff, U.S. Army,
Washington, D.C. Since August 1994, he has served as the
director, Program Analysis and Evaluation, office of the chief of
staff, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C.
Heebner was born on Feb. 15, 1945, in Worcester, Mass.
