General Officer Assignments

The Chief of Staff, Army announced today the following the assignments.


Maj. Gen. David N. Blackledge, U.S. Army Reserve, assistant deputy chief of staff, G-3, (individual mobilization augmentee), Mobilization and Reserve Affairs, Washington, D.C., to commander, U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operation Command (Airborne), Fort Bragg, N.C.


Brig. Gen. Robert A. Carr, to director for operations, Defense Intelligence Agency, Washington, D.C.  He recently served as deputy chief of staff, intelligence, International Security Assistance Force, Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan.


Brig. Gen. Bert K. Mizusawa, U.S. Army Reserve, Control Group Standby (Inactive), U.S. Army Human Resource Command, St. Louis, Mo., to deputy commanding general, 335th Theater Signal Command, East Point, Ga.


Brig. Gen. Jeffery E. Phillips, U.S. Army Reserve, deputy chief of public affairs, (individual mobilization augmentee), Office of the Chief, Public Affairs, Washington, D.C., to senior commander Fort Stewart, Fort Stewart, Ga.


Col. (Promotable) Christopher D. Bishop, Army National Guard, chief of staff, Vermont Army National Guard, Camp Johnson, Colchester, Vt., to vice director for operations, plans, logistics and engineering, J3/4V, U.S. Joint Forces Command, Norfolk, Va.
