General Officer Announcements
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has made the following nominations:
Army Lt. Gen. David M. Rodriguez has been nominated for reappointment to the rank of lieutenant general and assignment as commander, International Security Assistance Force Joint Command. Rodriguez is currently serving as the deputy commander, U.S. Forces Afghanistan.
Army Lt. Gen. William B. Caldwell IV has been nominated for reappointment to the rank of lieutenant general and assignment as commander, Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan/commander, North Atlantic Treaty Organization Training Mission-Afghanistan. Caldwell is currently serving as commanding general, U.S. Army Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth. |
