General Officer Assignments
The chief of staff, Army announced today the following assignments:
Maj. Gen. Daniel B. Allyn, deputy commanding general, XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg, Fort Bragg, N.C., to commanding general, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
Maj. Gen. Nelson J. Cannon, Army National Guard, commander, 46th Military Police Command, Lansing, Mich., to provost marshal/deputy commander, Detainee Operations, U.S. Forces-Iraq, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq.
Maj. Gen. David R. Hogg, deputy commanding general, Combined Security Transition Command - Afghanistan, Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan, to commanding general, U.S. Army Africa/commanding general, U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Italy. |
