GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Major General John M. Pickler, United States Army, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as Chief of Staff, United States Army Forces Command, Fort McPherson, Ga. Pickler is currently serving as the Commanding General, Fort Carson, Fort Carson, Co.
Pickler was born on March 14, 1943, in Chattanooga, Tenn.
