Flag Officer Assignment
Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Gary Roughead announced today the following assignment:
Rear Adm. (lower half) Philip S. Davidson, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral, will be assigned as senior military advisor to U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Washington, D.C. Davidson is currently serving as commander, Carrier Strike Group Eight, Norfolk, Va.
