General Officer Announcements

                Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has made the following nominations: 

                Army Col. Bradley A. Becker has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Becker is currently serving as deputy commander (support), 25th Infantry Division Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. 

                Army Col. Scott D. Berrier has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Berrier is currently serving as assistant chief of staff, J-2, U. S. Forces, Korea. 

                Army Col. Michael A. Bills has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Bills is currently serving as commander, Joint Task Force North, U. S. Northern Command, Fort Bliss, Texas. 

                Army Col. Gwendolyn Bingham has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Bingham is currently serving as special assistant to the commanding general, 1st Theater Sustainment Command, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Kuwait. 

                Army Col. David J. Bishop has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Bishop is currently serving as chief of staff, Third Army/U. S. Army Central, Fort McPherson, Ga. 

                Army Col. Matthew L. Brand has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Brand is currently serving as deputy director of strategy, plans and policy, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7, U. S. Army, Washington, D.C. 

                Army Col. James B. Burton has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Burton is currently serving as executive assistant, deputy secretary of defense, Office of the Deputy Secretary of Defense, Washington, D.C. 

                Army Col. Dominic J. Caraccilo has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Caraccilo is currently serving as senior commander, Fort Campbell,Fort Campbell, Ky. 

                Army Col. John W. Charlton has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Charlton is currently serving as assistant deputy director for politico-military affairs (middle-east), J-5, The Joint Staff, Washington, D.C. 

                Army Col. Guy T. Cosentino has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Cosentino is currently serving as senior military assistant, under secretary of defense (policy), Washington, D.C. 

                Army Col. James H. Dickinson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Dickinson is currently serving as deputy director for operations, National Military Command Center, J-3, The Joint Staff, Washington, D.C. 

                Army Col. Timothy J. Edens has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Edens is currently serving as deputy commander, Aviation Center of Excellence, Fort Rucker, Ala. 

                Army Col. Charles A. Flynn has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Flynn is currently serving as director, Mission Command Center of Excellence, Fort Leavenworth, Kan. 

                Army Col. George J. Franz III has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Franz is currently serving as chief, Joint Analysis and Control Element, J-2, International Security Assistance Force, Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan. 

                Army Col. Theodore C. Harrison has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Harrison is currently serving as special assistant to the military deputy, Office of the Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology), Washington, D.C. 

                Army Col. Frederick A. Henry has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Henry is currently serving as deputy commander, U. S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command, Fort Huachuca, Ariz. 

                Army Col. Terence J. Hildner has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Hildner is currently serving as commander, 13th Sustainment Command(Expeditionary), Fort Hood, Texas. 

                Army Col. Henry L. Huntley has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Huntley is currently serving as director, Public and Congressional Affairs, U. S. Army Materiel Command, Fort Belvoir, Va. 

                Army Col. Paul C. Hurley Jr. has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Hurley is currently serving as deputy commander/director of operations, Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, Fort Eustis, Va. 

                Army Col. Mark S. Inch has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Inch is currently serving as deputy provost marshal/deputy commander, U. S. Army Criminal Investigation Command, Office of the Provost Marshal General,Washington, D.C. 

                Army Col. Ferdinand I. Irizarry has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Irizarry is currently serving as deputy commander,U. S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center, Fort Bragg, N.C. 

                Army Col. Thomas S. James Jr. has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  James is currently serving as chief of staff, 3d Infantry Division (Mechanized), U. S. Division-North,Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq. 

                Army Col. Ole A. Knudson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Knudson is currently serving as special assistant to the military deputy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology), Washington, D.C. 

                Army Col. Thomas W. Kula has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Kula is currently serving as commander, U. S. Army Engineer Division Southwestern, Dallas, Texas. 

                Army Col. Clark W. Lemasters Jr. has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Lemasters is currently serving as commandant, U. S Army Ordnance Schools, U. S. Army Sustainment Center of Excellence, Fort Lee, Va. 

                Army Col. Theodore D. Martin has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Martin is currently serving as commandant, U. S. Army Armor Center, Fort Knox, Ky. 

                Army Col. Brian J. McKiernan has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  McKiernan is currently serving as deputy chief of staff, G-3/5/7, U. S. Army Reserve Command, Fort McPherson, Ga. 

                Army Col. Robin L. Mealer has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Mealer is currently serving as chief, Force Generation, Iraq Training and Advisory Team, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq. 

                Army Col. John B. Morrison Jr. has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Morrison is currently serving as coordinator,  LandWarNet/Battle Command, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7, U. S. Army, Washington, D.C. 

                Army Col. Sean P. Mulholland has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Mulholland is currently serving as deputy commander, Regional Command North, International Security Assistance Force, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan.  

                Army Col. Kevin G. O'Connell has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  O'Connell is currently serving as executive officer to the commanding general, U. S. Army Materiel Command, Fort Belvoir, Va. 

                Army Col. Barrye L. Price has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Price is currently serving as deputy commander, U. S. Army Cadet Command, Fort Monroe, Va. 

                Army Col. Mark R. Quantock has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Quantock is currently serving as chief of operations, U. S. Army Forces Cyberspace Command, Fort Belvoir, Va. 

                Army Col. James M. Richardson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Richardson is currently serving as deputy commander (support), 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. 

                Army Col. Darsie D. Rogers Jr. has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Rogers is currently serving as director, Joint Special Operations Command-Iraq, U. S. Forces-Iraq, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq. 

                Army Col. Martin P. Schweitzer has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Schweitzer is currently serving as deputy commander (operations), 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.

                Army Col. Jeffrey A. Sinclair has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Sinclair is currently serving as deputy commander (support), 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C. 

                Army Col. Richard L. Stevens has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Stevens is currently serving as executive officer, chief of staff of the Army, Washington, D.C. 

                Army Col. Peter D. Utley has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Utley is currently serving as director, training, G-3/5/7, U. S. Army, Washington, D.C. 

                Army Col. Gary J. Volesky has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Volesky is currently serving as deputy commander, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. 

                Army Col. Kirk F. Vollmecke has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Vollmecke is currently serving as director for contracting, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology), Washington, D.C. 

                Army Col. Darryl A. Williams has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Williams is currently serving as assistant surgeon general for warrior care and transition/commanding general, Warrior Transition Command, Falls Church, Va. 

                Army Col. Michael E. Williamson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general.  Williamson is currently serving as deputy program executive officer, Integration, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. 

                Army Col. Cedric T. Wins has been nominated for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Wins is currently serving as deputy director, Program Analysis and Evaluation, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8, U. S. Army, Washington, D.C.
