General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has made the following nomination:
Air Force Col. Howard D. Stendahl has been nominated to the rank of brigadier general. Stendahl is currently serving as the command chaplain, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Air Base Station, Va.
