General Officer Announcements

              The chief of staff, Air Force announced today the following assignments:

              Brig. Gen. Michael A. Keltz, deputy director of operations, plans, programs and requirements, Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, to director, strategic planning andpolicy, J-5, U.S. Pacific Command, Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

             Brig. Gen. Scott D. West, vice commander, 13th Air Force, Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, to deputy director of operations, plans, programs and requirements, Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

             Col. Patrick C. Malackowski, who has been selected for the rank of brigadier general, commander, 51st Fighter Wing, Pacific Air Forces, Osan Air Base, Republic of South Korea, to vice commander, 13th Air Force, Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

             Brig. Gen. Scott M. Hanson, special assistant to the vice chief of staff, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C., to commander, Spaatz Center for Officer Education, and commandant, Air War College, Air Education and Training Command, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.

              Brig. Gen. Howard B. Baker, director of logistics, Headquarters Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, to commander, Air Force Global Logistics Support Center,  Air Force Materiel Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

              Col. Mark M. McLeod, who has been selected for the rank of brigadier general, asssociate director of program integration, deputy chief of staff for logistics, installations and mission support, Pentagon, Washington, D.C., to director of logistics, Headquarters, Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

              Col. Richard S. Stapp, who has been selected for the rank of brigadier general, chief, Aerospace Sustainment Directorate, Ogden Air Logistics Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, to deputy director, requirements, J-8, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.
