General Officer Announcements

            The chief of staff, Air Force announced today the following assignments:

            Maj. Gen. Wendy M. Masiello, program executive officer for combat and mission support, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Washington, D.C., to deputy assistant secretary for contracting, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Washington, D.C.

            Brig. Gen. Mark C. Dillon, commander, 86th Airlift Wing, U.S. Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, to director, regional affairs, Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C.

            Col. Charles K. Hyde, who has been selected for the rank of brigadier general, deputy director of intelligence, operations and nuclear integration, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Randolph Air Force Base-Joint Base San Antonio, Texas, to commander, 86th Airlift Wing, U.S. Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

            Brig. Gen. David E. Petersen, deputy U.S. Military Representative to North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Military Committee, NATO Headquarters, Brussels, Belgium, to deputy director of intelligence, operations and nuclear integration, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Randolph Air Force Base-Joint Base San Antonio, Texas.

            Brig. Gen. Paul T. Johnson, commander, 451st Air Expeditionary Wing, Air Combat Command, Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, to deputy U.S. Military Representative to North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Military Committee, NATO Headquarters, Brussels, Belgium.

            Col. Thomas H. Deale, who has been selected for the rank of brigadier general, director, Air Force Colonel Management Office, deputy chief of staff for manpower, personnel and services, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C., to commander, 451st Air Expeditionary Wing, Air Combat Command, Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan.
