Flag Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates has announced that the President has nominated:
Navy Vice Adm. William H. McRaven, for appointment to the rank of admiral and for assignment as commander, U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. McRaven is currently serving as commander, Joint Special Operations Command/commander, Joint Special Operations Command Forward, U.S. Operations Command, Fort Bragg, N.C.
