Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced the following Department of Defense Senior Executive Service appointments and reassignments.
Anita F. Bales, has been assigned as deputy director, Defense Contract Audit Agency, Fort Belvoir, Va. Bales previously served as deputy auditor general, forces and financial audits, Army Audit Agency, Alexandria, Va.
Charles E. Milam, has been assigned as principal director, military community and family policy, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness), Washington, D.C. Milam previously served as director, Air Forces services, deputy chief of staff for manpower and personnel, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C.
David E. Johnson, has been appointed to the senior executive service and is assigned as deputy regional director, western, Defense Contract Audit Agency, La Mirada, Calif. Johnson previously served as deputy assistant director, policy and plans, Defense Contract Audit Agency, Fort Belvoir, Va.
