General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has made the following nomination:
Army Reserve Col. Mark W. Palzer has been nominated for promotion to the rank of brigadier general. Palzer is currently serving as commander, (troop program unit), 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Orlando, Fla.
