Flag Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has nominated Navy Vice Adm. Mark D. Harnitchek for reappointment to the rank of vice admiral and for assignment as director, Defense Logistics Agency, Fort Belvoir, Va. Harnitchek is currently serving as deputy commander, U.S. Transportation Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.
