Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan Greenert announced today the following assignments:
Rear Adm. (lower half) Michael W. Hewitt will be assigned as deputy director, Special Programs Cross Functional Team, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C. Hewitt is currently serving as commander, Patrol and Reconnaissance Group, Norfolk, Va.
Capt. Rebecca J. McCormick-Boyle, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as chief of staff, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Washington, D.C. McCormick-Boyle is currently serving as assistant deputy chief for medical operations, M3, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Washington, D.C.
Rear Adm. Nora W. Tyson will be assigned as vice director, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C. Tyson was previously assigned as commander, Carrier Strike Group Two, Norfolk, Va.
