Flag Officer Announcement

            Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta announced today that the President has made the following nominations:

            Navy Reserve Capt. Timothy W. Dorsey has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Dorsey is currently serving as Navy Reserve inspector general, Detachment 106, Norfolk, Va.

            Navy Reserve Capt. Michael J. Dumont has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Dumont is currently serving as deputy chief of staff for stability operations, Kabul, Afghanistan.

            Navy Reserve Capt. Robert L. Greene has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Greene is currently serving as senior advisor for anti-terrorism/force protection, Navy Reserve U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Va.

            Navy Reserve Capt. Lawrence B. Jackson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Jackson is currently serving as commander, Military Sealift Fleet Support Command, Washington, D.C.

            Navy Reserve Capt. Scott B. J. Jerabek has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Jerabek is currently serving as deputy commander, Maritime Expeditionary Security Group One, San Diego, Calif.

            Navy Reserve Capt. Kirby D. Miller has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Miller is currently serving as chief of staff, Naval Air System Command Reserve Strategic Analysis Unit, Patuxent River, Md.

            Navy Reserve Capt. Barbara W. Sweredoski has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Sweredoski is currently serving as executive officer, Navy Reserve North Atlantic Treaty Organization Allied Command Transformation, Norfolk, Va.

            Navy Reserve Capt. Eric C. Young has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Young is currently serving as deputy director for training transformation, and technology, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs, Washington, D.C.
