Deadline for Overseas Service Photography Project Photo Submissions Approaches
Photo submissions for “Serving Abroad…Through Their Eyes” overseas service photography project must be received via the submission portal at http://www.ourmilitary.mil by Presidents Day, Feb. 20, 2012.
Active and former members of the U.S. military, Foreign Service or Civil Service may submit up to ten photos depicting daily life, friendship, places, faces, loss or triumph of overseas service since 2000. Winning entries will be posted online.
Selected images will be displayed in a special photography exhibition planned for the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Pentagon and other prominent venues, stateside and overseas. The best in show honorees will be recognized in the nation’s capital this fall.
