Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta announced today that the President has made the following nominations:
Navy Vice Adm. Richard W. Hunt for reappointment to the rank of vice admiral, and for assignment as director, Navy Staff, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Hunt is currently serving as commander, Naval Surface Forces/commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, San Diego, Calif.
Navy Rear Adm. Thomas H. Copeman III., for appointment to the rank of vice admiral, and for assignment as commander, Naval Surface Forces/commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, San Diego, Calif. Copeman is currently serving as chief of legislative affairs, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
