            Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta announced today that the President has made the following nomination:

            Air Force Maj. Gen. Michael D. Dubie for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and for assignment as deputy commander, U.S. Northern Command/vice commander, U.S. Element, North American Aerospace Defense Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.  Dubie is currently serving as the adjutant general of the state of Vermont, Vermont Joint Force Headquarters, Camp Johnson, Colchester, Vt.

            Air Force Col. Bobby V. Page, who has been nominated for the rank of brigadier general.  Page is currently serving as the command chaplain, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas.
