General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta announced today that the President has made the following nomination:
Air Force Brig. Gen. Howard D. Stendahl has been nominated for appointment to the rank of major general. Stendahl is currently serving as the Air Force deputy chief of chaplains, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
