GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Maj. Gen. John M. McDuffie, United States Army, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as director for logistics, J-4, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.
McDuffie is currently serving as director, J-4, U.S. European Command, Germany.
McDuffie was born August 24, 1948, in Sarasota, Fla.
