The chief of staff, Air Force announced today the following assignments:
Brig. Gen. Bruce H. McClintock, special assistant for Russia and division chief for Central Europe and Eurasia, J-5, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C., to senior defense official/defense attaché, Defense Intelligence Agency, Moscow, Russia.
Col. Mark K. Johnson, who has been selected for the rank of brigadier general, deputy director, logistics and sustainment, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, to commander, Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, Defense Logistics Agency, Richmond, Va.
Col. Dirk D. Smith, who has been selected for the rank of brigadier general, commander, 3rd Wing, Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, to deputy director for operations, Headquarters U.S. Pacific Command, Camp H. M. Smith, Hawaii.
