            Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel announced today that the President has made the following nominations: 

            Navy Capt. John W. Ailes for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Ailes is currently serving as major program manager, Program Executive Office for Littoral Combat Ships, Washington, D.C. 

            Navy Capt. Christian D. Becker for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Becker is currently serving as major program manager for Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Space Field Activity, Chantilly, Va. 

            Navy Capt. Babette Bolivar for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Bolivar is currently serving as the chief of staff, commander, Navy Installations Command, Washington, D.C. 

            Navy Capt. Louis V. Cariello for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Cariello is currently serving as commanding officer, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Europe, Africa, and Southwest Asia, Naples, Italy. 

            Navy Capt. Daryl L. Caudle for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Caudle is currently serving as chief of staff, commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. 

            Navy Capt. Kyle J. Cozad for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Cozad is currently serving as a Chief of Naval Operations strategic studies group fellow, Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group, Newport, R.I. 

            Navy Capt. Randy B. Crites for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Crites is currently serving as branch head, Operations and Analysis Directorate, N80, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C. 

            Navy Capt. Daniel H. Fillion for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Fillion is currently serving as executive assistant to the assistant secretary of the Navy financial management and comptroller, Washington, D.C. 

            Navy Capt. Lisa M. Franchetti for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Franchetti is currently serving as Navy military assistant to the secretary of the Navy, Washington, D.C. 

            Navy Capt. William J. Galinis for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Galinis is currently serving as commanding officer, Norfolk Ship Support Activity, Norfolk, Va. 

            Navy Capt. Jon A. Hill for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Hill is currently serving as major program manager for Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems, Washington, D.C.

             Navy Capt. Marcus A. Hitchcock for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Hitchcock is currently serving as commanding officer, the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69), Norfolk, Va. 

            Navy Capt. Kenneth J. Iverson for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Iverson is currently serving as commanding officer, Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, Camp Pendleton, Calif. 

            Navy Capt. Adrian J. Jansen for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Jansen is currently serving as defense attaché to Jakarta, Indonesia. 

            Navy Capt. Thomas J. Kearney for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Kearney is currently serving as major program manager for Undersea Weapons Program Executive Office for Submarines, Washington, D.C. 

            Navy Capt. Roy J. Kelley for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Kelley is currently serving as chief of staff, commander, Naval Air Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, San Diego, Calif.

            Navy Capt. Nancy A. Norton for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half).  Norton is currently serving as a Chief of Naval Operations strategic studies group fellow, Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group, Newport, R.I.
