General Officer Assignments

The chief of staff, Army announced the following assignments:
 
Maj. Gen. Joseph A. Brendler, special assistant to the deputy chief information officer/G-6, Office of the Secretary of the Army, Washington, D.C., to director of plans and policy, J-5, U.S. Cyber Command, Fort George G. Meade, Md.
 
Maj. Gen. Austin S. Miller, commander, Special Operations Joint Task Force-Afghanistan/North Atlantic Treaty Organization Special Operations Component Command-Afghanistan, Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan, to commanding general, U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence and Fort Benning, Fort Benning, Ga.
 
Brig. Gen. Gary J. Volesky, who has been selected for the rank of major general, chief of public affairs, Office of the Secretary of the Army, Washington, D.C., to commanding general, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell, Fort Campbell, Ky.
 
Brig. Gen. Bruce T. Crawford, director, J-6, Cyber/C4, U.S. European Command to commanding general, U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command and Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.
