GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Maj. Gen. Thomas J. Keck, U.S. Air Force, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as vice commander, Air Combat Command and vice commander in chief, U.S. Air Forces Atlantic.
Keck is currently serving as vice commander, Twelfth Air Force, Air Combat Command, vice commander, U.S. Southern Command Air Forces, and Air Force Component vice commander, U. S. Strategic Command.
Keck was born June 26, 1946, in Providence, R.I..
