CONTRACTS - DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

IMATION Corporation, Oakdale, Minn., is being awarded an estimated maximum $50,000,000 indefinite-quantity contract for X-ray systems, sub-systems or components. Nineteen proposals were solicited and nineteen were received. Work will be performed in New Ulm, Minn., and is expected to be completed by May 31, 1999. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity(SP0200-96-D-8051).

Polaroid Corp., Fairfax, Va., is being awarded an estimated maximum $50,000,000 indefinite-quantity contract for X-ray systems sub-systems or components. Nineteen proposals were solicited and nineteen were received. Work is expected to be completed by May 31, 1999. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0200-96-D-8052).

IMPAC Medical Systems, Inc., Mountain View, Calif., is being awarded a $30,000,000 indefinite-quantity contract for radiation oncology systems and subsystems. Twenty proposals were solicited and fifteen were received. Work is expected to be completed by May 29, 1999. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0200-98-D-8507).

AIR FORCE

Boeing Information, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $15,500,000 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for long lead funding and procurement for an engineering change to incorporate relay radios and a voice recorder to the upgrade for the Saudi Arabian E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. Expected contract completion date is December 1999. Solicitation issue date was Sep. 12, 1997. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-97-C-0077).

Boeing Information, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $33,175,294 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price and time-and-material-contract to definitize upgrade of five Saudi Arabian E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. The upgrade installs the CC-2ER

computer, the Digital Multiplexer, and Hard Disk System, and upgrades Mission System and Ground Support Software. This effort supports foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia. Expected contract completion date is May 2000. Solicitation issue date was Sep. 12, 1997. Negotiation completion date was March 27, 1998. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-97-C-0077 modification PZ0001).

Boeing Defense and Space Group, Wichita, Kan., is being awarded a $14,327,000 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for two Group A re-engining kits applicable to the KC-135E aircraft. Expected contract completion date is October 2000. Solicitation issue date was June 9, 1997. Negotiation completion date was Nov. 11, 1997. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-97-C-0001-P00015).

ARMY

Record Steel & Construction Inc.*, Meridian, Idaho, is being awarded $7,316,539 as part of a not-to-exceed $7,368,539 firm-fixed-price contract to design/build an FY98 B-1 dormitory building. Work will be performed at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 35 bids solicited on June 2, 1997, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle, Wash. (DACA67-98-C-0031).

NAVY

General Electric Aircraft Engines, General Electric Company, Lynn, Mass., is being awarded a $66,338,235 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-97-C-0114 to definitize the advanced acquisition contract for the FY 98 Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) II of 46 F414-GE-400 engines for the F/A-18E/F aircraft, including related modules, devices, and engineering services, to a fixed-price-incentive-fee contract. Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass. (58%), Evendale, Ohio (20%), Marion, Va. (5%), Rutland, Vt. (4%), Albuquerque, N.M. (4%), Madisonville, Ky. (4%), Hookset, N.H. (3%), and Wilmington, N.C. (2%), and is expected to be completed in May 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Pioneer UAV, Incorporated, Hunt Valley, Md., is being awarded a $10,134,175 firm-fixed-price ceiling amount contract to procure FY 98 spare parts for the Pioneer unmanned aerial vehicle system. Work will be performed in Hunt Valley, Md., and is expected to be completed in January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-C-0010).

Engineered Systems, Aston, Pa., is being awarded a $9,961,168 cost-plus-award-fee contract for the research and development of the Marine Corps expeditionary arresting gear system. Work will be performed in Aston, Pa. (56%), Thorofare, N.J. (32%), and Lakehurst, N.J. (12%), and is expected to be completed in March 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 24 proposals solicited and four offers received representing teaming arrangements from nine companies. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity (N68335-98-C-0225).
