Deputy Secretary of Defense Bob Work met with Philip Dunne, UK Ministry of Defense, minister for Equipment, Support, and Technology, today at the Pentagon.
Deputy Secretary Work began the meeting by thanking Minister Dunne for hosting his visit to the UK in July. The two leaders discussed the U.S. and UK defense budgets and key program decisions. In their discussions, Deputy Secretary Work and Minister Dunne talked about future security threats and how they relate to new technology requirements, including opportunities for close UK-U.S. collaboration on future capability investments. The two leaders concluded the meeting by reaffirming their commitment to maintaining close coordination between the U.S. and the UK in the coming year.
