GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that he has approved the appointment of Lt. Gen. Eugene D. Santarelli, U.S. Air Force, on the retired list in the grade of lieutenant general effective Sept. 1, 1998. Santarelli is currently serving as vice commander, Pacific Air Forces, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.
Santarelli was born Aug. 14, 1944, in Canton, Ohio.
