Deputy Secretary of Defense Bob Work met with Niger's Minster Minister of Defense Karidjo Mahamadou at the Pentagon today.
During their meeting, Work and the minister discussed wide-ranging areas of U.S.-Niger collaboration and security cooperation.
The deputy secretary and minister exchanged thoughts on Boko Haram and the broader security environment in northwest Africa. The two leaders also spoke about their shared priorities for partnership and avenues to expand defense cooperation.
