GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Maj. Gen. Ronald C. Marcotte, U.S. Air Force, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as commander, Eighth Air Force, Air Combat Command. Marcotte is currently assigned as director, plans and policy, J-5, United States Strategic Command, Offutt AFB, Neb.
Marcotte was born March 8, 1947, in Manchester, N.H.
