FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Rear Adm. John W. Craine Jr., U.S. Navy, for appointment to the grade of vice admiral with assignment as chief of Naval Education and Training and director, Naval Training, N7, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations in Pensacola, Fla. Craine is currently serving as director, Assessment Division, N81, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Craine was born June 4, 1945, in Richmond, Va.
