GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Maj. Gen. Michael L. Dodson, U.S. Army, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assignment as the deputy commander in chief/chief of staff, U.S. Central Command, MacDill AFB, Fla. Dodson is currently serving as the director of operations, J-3, U.S. Central Command, MacDill AFB, Fla.
Dodson was born on Nov., 1945, Okalahoma City, Okla.
