GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that he has approved the appointment of Gen. Richard E. Hawley, U.S. Air Force, on the retired list in the grade of general effective July 1, 1999. Gen. Hawley is currently serving as the Commander, Air Combat Command, Langley AFB, Va.
