GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Lt. Gen. Lester L. Lyles, U.S. Air Force, for appointment to the grade of general with assignment as Vice Chief of Staff, United States Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Lyles is currently assigned as Director, Ballistic Missile Defense Organization, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
