FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Vice Adm. Thomas B. Fargo, U.S. Navy, for appointment to the grade of admiral and assignment as commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Fargo is currently serving as deputy chief of naval operations for plans, policy, and operations N3/N5, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
