GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Army Maj. Gen. Billy K. Solomon for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assignment as commanding general, U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command and Fort Lee, Fort Lee, Va. Solomon is currently serving as director for Logistics and Security Assistance, J-4/J-7, U.S. Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.
