GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT

Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that he has approved the appointment of Lt. Gen. David L. Vesely, U.S. Air Force, on the retired list in the grade of lieutenant general effective Oct. 1, 1999. Vesely is currently serving as the assistant vice chief of staff, U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
