GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Lt. Gen. William J. Begert, U.S. Air Force, for reappointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as assistant vice chief of staff, U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Begert is currently assigned as vice commander, United States Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
