GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Maj. Gen. Charles H. Coolidge Jr., for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as vice commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Coolidge is currently serving as director, Operations and Logistics, J3/J4, Headquarters United States Transportation Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.
