GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas J. Keck for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as commander, Eighth Air Force, Air Combat Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, La. Keck is currently assigned as vice commander, Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va.
