GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Lt. Gen. John W. Handy for appointment to the grade of general with assignment as vice chief of staff, United States Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Handy is currently assigned as the deputy chief of staff, Installations and Logistics, Headquarters United States Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
