GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Lt. Gen. John L. Woodward, Jr., for re-appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as director, communications and information, Headquarters United States Air Force; and commander, Air Force Communications and Information Center, Washington, D.C.
Woodward is currently assigned as director of Command, Control, Communications and Computer (C4) Systems, J-6, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
