GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Army Maj. Gen. Paul T. Mikolashek for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and assignment as commanding general, Third U. S. Army, Fort McPherson, Ga. Mikolashek is currently serving as commanding general, U. S. Army Southern European Task Force, Vicenza, Italy.
