GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated U.S. Army National Guard Brig. Gen. Wayne D. Marty for appointment to the grade of major general. Marty is currently assigned as the assistant adjutant general, Texas State Area Command, Austin, Texas.
