FLAG OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen announced today that the President has nominated Vice Adm. Walter F. Doran, U.S. Navy, for appointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment as deputy chief of Naval Operations for Plans, Policy and Operations, N3/N5, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, the Pentagon, Washington, DC. Doran is currently serving as commander, Seventh Fleet in Yokosuka, Japan.
