GENERAL OFFICER ASSIGNMENTS
The Air Force announced the following general officer actions today.
Gen. John A. Gordon, deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency and deputy director of Central Intelligence, Langley, Va., will retire effective July 1, 2000.
Maj. Gen. Randall M. Schmidt, currently the special assistant to the commander, United States Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein AB, Germany, will be reassigned to become the director of operations, United States Air Forces in Europe, also at Ramstein AB, Germany.
